About Our Club
Newport Squash Rackets Club moved to our current home at Rodney Parade in 1971. We have four national standard courts and are renowned for being the largest and strongest club in Wales. We field eight senior teams in the Welsh regional and national leagues and are the only club in Wales that hosts an independent, graded senior open tournament currently sponsored by Caffrey's. We were the first to appoint a full-time, professional coach who now runs what we believe to be the finest development system in the country that has already produced over twenty Welsh International players. There is a Pro Shop that provides everything a player needs including a wide range of specialist equipment and clothing brands at competitive prices plus a racket restringing service.
Getting Better At It
We are justifiably proud of the achievements of our best players but that’s just part of the story. The club has male and female players of all ages and standards including complete beginners who are especially welcome. We have a wide range of activities to help you learn to play and improve your game. For adults, the Friday Club Night Bonkers League is a great way to get to meet other members in an informal setting and play with lots of different people no matter what your standard. A wide variety of internal competitions are also available for you to take part in (some serious and some for fun). For juniors from 7 to 16 years of age we hold regular group coaching sessions throughout the week. More advanced courses and individual lessons for all ages are also available.

The Social Side
Although we can help you to learn, improve and compete, there is a thriving social side to the club that revolves around our fully-licensed, inexpensive bar and function room. The bar has a pool-table and large screen. The function room holds up to 80 people and is available for private hire. We organise a full programme of social events and activities to make the club fun for all the family.

9:00am to 11:00pm seven days a week.
