Our Club was the first in Wales to appoint a full-time professional squash coach in 2000 - the very talented Greg Tippings who had been playing at the club since 1994.

Playing Career

• Age 32
• Highest World ranking 69
• highest Welsh ranking 3 current number 4
• 5 years as a touring pro on the PSA
• Silver medalist in the Wolrd Team Championship's in Cairo 2000
• Bronze medal in the world student games in 1997
• Twice Bristish University Champion
• Team member in the 1998 Commwealth Games in Kula Lumpar
• 6 times County Champion
• 4 times runner/up in the Welsh Senior Closed
• Welsh under 23 champion on 2 occasions
• Over 50 caps for Wales in 7 Europeans Team Champoinships and 4 World Team Champoinships.

Coaching Career

• Squash Wales High Performance Coach
• Coached the Welsh Senior Squad
• Coaches the current British under 13s Girls Champion
• Coached over 8 Welsh junior champions
• Coaches current PSA members
• Newport Squash Club Director of Coaching for 6 years.
• Newport Squash Club has been the leading Squash Club in Wales for Over 5 years now. With 60 junior members and 27 Welsh capped players in the last 5 years alone.
• 10 teams competing in the Welsh and Gwent leagues making it by far the biggest squash club in Wales.

Unfortunately it's not all good. Greg has questionable taste in music, an aversion to regular use of a razor and a predilection for getting himself into sticky spots at night clubs.

Greg provides individual tuition at £20 per 45 minute session. He is particularly adept at devising a structured individual coaching programme of regular lessons to help you make radical improvements to your game.

Greg also runs the shop and provides a racket restringing service.
